Today I’m going to show you how to assemble the Congrats Card SVG. I made it extra special by making my own paper first.
Supplies:
Watercolor Paper
Stampin’ Up Soft Swirls Stamp (retired)
Spray Bottle with Water
To make my paper I used watercolor paper and blended distress oxide inks across it. Then I spritzed it with water to get the oxidized look. And as if this wasn’t pretty enough I pulled out a swirly heart stamp by Stampin’ Up and used versamark ink to stamp that over the paper. Next, I pulled out my trusty silver embossing powder to pour over the stamped image and heat set that with my heat gun. Ones this was all completed I sent the paper though my cameo cutting machine on coverstock settings with the overcut on. At first, I didn’t choose the correct settings so its a good thing I checked it out before I unloaded my mat so I could cut it again.
For a little more spice, I turned this card into a non-traditional shaker card. I was planning to use sequins but it ended up being too busy with the embossed stamp. So I ended up making a laminated sheet with gold heat embossing powder in it. It looks super beautiful in real life. For the sentiment, I again heat embossed in silver another Stampin’ Up stamp. I made another watercolor piece to be matted on the inside for extra flare.
All in all, this was a quick and easy card to make. Perfect for any occasion that requires celebrating! Hope you enjoyed this one. It has been a while since I’ve made a card so I really had a lot of fun creating this one.
