Are you celebrating the luck of the Irish? This St. Pactrick’s Day treat box might help you contain some gold from the end of the rainbow. Follow along as I demonstrate how easy it is to assemble my shamrock treat box svg cut file design.
Supplies:
Shamrock Treat Box SVG
Green Cardstock
Acetate
Cutting Machine
Double Sided Tape
Liquid Glue
Step 1: Fold the Scorelines
Fold all the scorelines. Use a scraper tool to burnish the lines for a crisp fold.
Step 2: Add the Acetate
Use double sided tape to adhere the acetate behind the shamrock opening. You can use liquid glue, but it takes a long time to dry since the acetate isn’t porous.
Step 3: Create the St. Patrick’s Day Treat Box
Start by attaching the 2 pieces together. Apply glue to the tab farthest from the shamrock cut out. Adhere this to the straight edge without tabs on the box base piece.
Now add glue to the 2 tabs next to where the shamrock piece was added. These tabs will adhere to the inside of the box behind the shamrock opening. Keep the edges flush so the box stays square.
The last 2 tabs to glue down adhere to the back wall, it has a curved top. This curve makes it easier to open and close the box.
The tabs for the top of the box don’t receive glue. These tabs keep the lid closed and maintain the square shape.
Step 4: Fill the Treat Box
Add some chocolate coins and this box is ready for gifting!
