With St. Patrick’s Day just around the corner, how about sending a little luck to your friends. This mini slimline card is super easy to make, plus the Irish Blessing on the inside can be done in foil quill or sketch pen. So let’s dive into making this St. Patrick’s Day Mini Slimline Card.
Supplies:
Step 1: Cut out the pieces
I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut this card out of 3 different colors of 65 lb Recollections Green Cardstock. The cutting took about 20 minutes since I used my sketch pen for the inside.
Step 2: Assemble the card
Starting with the card base, reinforce the scoreline for a nice crisp edge. Then use the cut out of the truck as a stencil to line everything up on the front of the card. This also ensures the correct spacing gaps between the truck pieces.
I used this same technique for the shamrocks in the bed of the truck. Use the cutouts to place small dabs of glue then added the shamrocks. Don’t forget to all the wheels to the truck as well.
For the inside, add a shamrock to the lower right corner. There is still plenty of room to add a personal message under the blessing. Now glue that panel inside the card and leave an even border all the way around.
Step 3: Send your card out
Even if you don’t celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, it is always a good excuse to send a card to a friend. We all love getting some happy mail in the box.
