Let me introduce you to the application Print My Fonts! Someone else has suffered from font overload and has come up with a solution. This is an application you download onto your computer and will catalog all the fonts by name and show a sample using whatever phrase you want.
I think this is a great way to get a quick look at all your fonts and easy to update, say monthly when you add a few hundred more fonts to your inventory.
